This past spring, I purchased a 2007 Roadtrek. It has a spare tire carrier in the rear, but it did not have a tire assist lift to help with lifting the 70lbs tire back into place. I was fortunate enough to find Josh, who is a fabricator and welder local to me, to create one for me. He told me that if there is interest, he would make one for anyone who has a Roadtrek for $400 plus shipping and handling. (I also believe this tire assist would work with some older Pleasureways, but I am not confident, so you would have to communicate with Josh and provide measurements for him to confirm.
I have attached some pictures of the lift with and without a bicycle rack. The bike rack I have is a RockyMounts Backstage Swing Away with an 8-inch extender from the main hitch point of the camper. If you have a different bike rack, your mileage may vary.
If you waant to see the assist lift in action, here is a link to me demonstrating the lift while outboondocking. Spare tire Assist Demo
