So where is everyone headed this summer?

I'm hoping to get out end of May early June and my plan is west / north west. Maybe Glacier, maybe PNW, I have no idea but I look forward to going and going and keep going! Been too long. I have yet to RV to Glacier so that remains high on my list. I'd love to find some BLM land and put my solar + lithiums to work that I have yet to exercise since getting the lithium's installed.

After wandering the desert southwest for three months, we're headed home at the end of March. For the most part, we'll summer at Birch Bay where we'll do routine maintenance, cleaning and a few small repairs to the bus. We'll likely do a couple of one or two week trips somewhere in Oregon and/or BC. We'll also use or summer down time to plan our 30 day RV rental for next January to tour both New Zealand islands. We're also going to visit family & friends in Australia then over to the Cook Islands for another month. Lots of planning......

We spent almost 7 months in the central and northeast states last year, and this year we'll go back west. NM, AZ, UT, CO, ID, and MT returning to Texas in Oct for the Hoots Rally.

We were thinking about PNW, and then I saw that Oregon was increasing its state parks to $80, plus another $10 if you want to use the dump station.

We leave Thursday for a local 5 day trip with old law enforcement friends.

For the first time we're taking our car to Yosemite in April and staying 5 days at the Ahwahnee with three other couples.

In May, we have a week booked with the RV at a nice little KOA in Monterey.

June were off, but leave for 4 days in London and from there board a Princess Cruise ship for 12 days along the British Isles.

August, we'll hit one of our favorite areas for three weeks, the Oregon Coast.

We'll be home in September and then 10 days in October to do a local chili cookoff in Paso Robles and then spend a few nights in Pismo.

In November we do the Kern River for a week at Thanksgiving with our two daughters and their families. They both have 5th wheels.

Lastly, we like to do the week between Christmas and New Year at a local lake with our camping friends Then it starts all over for the New Year with Quartzsite.

We are along the Oregon coast right now. Our favorite is Winchester Bay. We arrive there tomorrow! One of the nicest parks we have ever been to.

Yep, I always call the and ask what is the first day we can book for an August arrival. I called them February 23rd and got one of the pull in forward sites on the first row that overlooks the marina.

We also booked Newport Marina and RV which is another difficult spot to get because it's blue crab season at both parks in August. A lot of locals spend several weeks at both parks catching blue crab everyday.

Our last stop is Gold Beach. We stay at Turtle Rock which is nothing special, but we love to do the Jerry's Jet Boat ride up the Rogue River.. We do the 6 hour dinner run and then I fish the Rogue one day.

We're only going to be on the road for around 3 months this year and staying East. Fla panhandle, Alabama, Tenn, NC, SC, GA, etc... About 90% stays at parks we've enjoyed before on our travels, so no drama in that area. Just hoping to have no mechanical issues and "not too high" fuel prices.

We loved Newport Marina! Enjoy!

Heading up to Maine for a month this late July/August. Probably a couple little trips around Tennessee to shake out the pending repairs. Will maneuver out around Massachusetts as I have a brother up by Saratoga and we dont want to deal with the traffic and donate money to ME,NH,Mass highway funds. Wife has never been across upstate VT, NH so it will be scenic casual ride. We are debating doing Rt. 66 as it is the 100th anniversary and I turn 66.....If that is the case we may just stay out there, but I don't want to miss hunting in VA in Nov......Either way we will be back in the Q or Yuma or somewhere out there this winter.

No solid plans for us.
Taking the rig to Rush in OKC for alignment and chassis service next Monday.
Likely do a couple of close weekend trips to get back in the routine, then start looking and planning.
Very likely we'll spend some time in Texas hill country, the ozarks, and who knows where.
Anywhere that's not here will work for us!
