Yes, they are great, we are lucky, son in NM and daughter in Utah, nice driving to visit them, we always take time for the parks in NM, AZ, NV and UT
 
I can't wait to get up there as everyone talks about the big 5 in Utah.
I have heard that one no longer has to "book:" Arches. Back to FCFS but check to make sure. Also, make sure you do the Shafer Trail. One of the easiest to do but well worth the experience. You don't need a 4X4 just high clearance.
