I have never liked this "feature" and know there are many ways out there to disable it ... but I just found this solution that looks really good to me so I ordered one. Will get it in a few days and after I install and use it for a bit will post the results. Just passing this on incase other folks out there are like me. If you do open the link ... watch the short video and it will tell you the story.

I just push the button to turn it off on our Cherokee when I start it up. It is right above the A/C auto button so it is convenient.

Yep ... that's definitely one way. I did that with the past several Jeeps I had. Finally got tired of forgetting to do it about every 5th time and having it start/stop on me. This seems like an easy way around that. I will just skip going to McDonalds for maybe 3 or 4 times and it will be paid for.

FLSteve :)

I use JScan – OBD JScan – Mobile Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge Diagnostic Tool for my Trailhawk, it works with an OBD II scanner to permanently turn of the auto stop start. For the $20 license fee, the software has many other useful functions that I use on my JK Rubicon as well. It works on Jeep, Chrysler and Ram. It does not void warranties because you can reverse any changes to put everything back to OEM settings.

@FLSteve : you should get the TazerJL. It does the same plus a lot more.

I have the full version, but since you don’t off-road the lite is probably all you need.
