A while back I read an article about one of the “free” anti virus programs.

They were slapped with a large fine since they were gathering all the information about their users and selling it. This fact was hidden from those using their software.
Yup! And those that think Bill has nothing to do with viruses live in a fantasy!

That is why I decided to host my website with on a commercial server. Even though it cost me to do so, they pay for all of the basic cybersecurity. I am given the choice for how much extra I am willing to pay for. My personal server gets physically disconnected from the internet when not in use for an extended period and is still protected with antivirus and firewall. There is almost mo such thing as overkill anymore. Also, without three backups, you don’t have a backup (fighting ransomware).
