Be careful out there! VA is getting hit with the monster today. Makes you think and rethink WWYD in a campground in your RV? Staying abreast of weather conditions, making decisions such as shelter, leave, etc. Tough decisions, don't know the answers, but things to think about.

Just one day into our trip to Nappanee, we met some friends at the Choctaw Casino in Durant OK. While there, the Sunday forecast called for 30-40 mph winds with gusts upwards of 60. And, with DW reminding me of our sailing days experience (most accidents and problems start with a deadline), we decided to leave the jacks down for an extra day while the weather blew through. Turned out to be a good decision and now we’re on our way again.

Winds in FL today as well. Gusts of only 40 but slides in just in case.

Much easier on slide toppers when they are not deployed and windy 😊

I saw a post where folks are up in Nappanee and not knowing what to do. If you feel that much of a threat, go to a hotel.
I do not get it, whats your grave marker going to say "died because they were too frugal to get a hotel room"

Excellent response and point.

Stay safe out there. I always keep an eye on the forecasts when traveling and formulate an escape plan if necessary.

So far so good. Tornado watch was cancelled about 30 min ago.
