Looks like a switch that locks/unlocks something. Perhaps the entry door? Or baggage doors possibly? Good luck.

It didn't lock or unlock entry door or baggage doors - not sure what else it would be

Electric window safety lock. Like that that keeps auto back windows safe for kids.
