I think you need to know if you have a problem. After you know then it will be time to figure out what to do.

It is hard to tell from the photos what is going on. Obviously there is water intrusion somewhere. I assume this is an old RV that has just been stationary for years and years. If it was me I would first investigate around the outside of that window, is there a seal issue, could the water be coming down inside the wall there?

Thank you! Yes, very old (1993) and has been sitting for over 10 years. We wanted the location- so just kept the trailer as it’s not movable as-is. We figured we would replace it if it wasn’t worth keeping. Impeccable inside except for this carpet and debris under the window. The weird thing is there is no visible water damage on the walls (it’s wallpapered) that I can see, and the carpet wasn’t mushy, just felt damp. I just don’t feel comfortable in it, especially as mentioned on this thread, there could be mold! Should I get an RV tech to inspect it inside and outside? How would I find one? It’s in Julian, CA.

You are making me wonder about my choices. My rig is old but I don't consider it very old (83). If you want to spend some money then I'll take it. You buy the gas and lunch and I will come look at it. I am outside of Yuma.

That’s what we were told- that these are oldies but that a lot of people have old ones, and in fact it’s really well kept inside. I’m in a dry climate too (San Diego) so don’t really think about cold, wet mountain weather like where the trailer is! I see a lot of “old” RVs out there, so finding a tech may not be difficult but I will let you know!
