True. That’s why I appreciate all this insight so at least I’ll be armed with some knowledge before they quote!I would expect a good exterminater would work on anything $$.
I think you need to know if you have a problem. After you know then it will be time to figure out what to do.Ha! Some of us were around in’78
I actually think we are going to have a problem. Not to bore anyone, but we basically purchased a membership site and this old 5th wheel came with it for a couple $Ks. So it’s not easily moveable at this point and we likely can’t exterminate on site. We would probably just get rid of it due to the cost of moving it plus exterminator. They took impeccable care but I guess there’s no protection against these critters. The rig is so old I think if this were a problem previously I would see other evidence of it, don’t you agree, Kevin? I did look elsewhere, and it’s only under this one window. Truthfully I would just get rid of this vehicle, but I like the charm of it and it was basically free and enabled us to get a choice spot in this RV park. So do you think calling an exterminator is the best bet?
Ok! Scary, but I guess you’re right. Better just be brave and call the exterminator.I think you need to know if you have a problem. After you know then it will be time to figure out what to do.
Thank you! Yes, very old (1993) and has been sitting for over 10 years. We wanted the location- so just kept the trailer as it’s not movable as-is. We figured we would replace it if it wasn’t worth keeping. Impeccable inside except for this carpet and debris under the window. The weird thing is there is no visible water damage on the walls (it’s wallpapered) that I can see, and the carpet wasn’t mushy, just felt damp. I just don’t feel comfortable in it, especially as mentioned on this thread, there could be mold! Should I get an RV tech to inspect it inside and outside? How would I find one? It’s in Julian, CA.It is hard to tell from the photos what is going on. Obviously there is water intrusion somewhere. I assume this is an old RV that has just been stationary for years and years. If it was me I would first investigate around the outside of that window, is there a seal issue, could the water be coming down inside the wall there?
You are making me wonder about my choices. My rig is old but I don't consider it very old (83). If you want to spend some money then I'll take it. You buy the gas and lunch and I will come look at it. I am outside of Yuma.Thank you! Yes, very old (1993) and has been sitting for over 10 years.
