How To The right tool

I have a 2022 Wildcat fifth wheel. Not real handy but I can follow instructions after watching a couple of YouTube videos. I don’t plan on undertaking anything major.

With space and weight considerations what tool(s) would you recommend in my tool box?

Phillips and flat head screw driver,
bit screwdriver, with a set of varying screw driver bits (different sizes of Phillips, Star, square, etc)
several sizes of crescent wrenches
channel lock pliers
long nosed pliers
regular pliers
socket wrench set with bit U.S.and metric sockets
vice grip
zip ties, gorila tape
hammer
set of allen wrenches
battery powered drill and a bit set (metal bit)
small air compressor with shraeder end for airing up your tires and
attachments for blowing air to blow out behind your fridge and your water
heater bay, etc.
multimeter
flashligt and or head lamp

I have a bit set and driver I bought at Walmart years ago. It takes care of most of my needs. I would not go out and buy one but a leather man is good to have on your belt when setting up.

add a small tarp (maybe 8’x8’) , portable LED battery powered work lights, a small pack of new grease wrags, a pair of lightweight work gloves and safety glasses. You dont want to find yourself under the thing but when you do these things will make whatever you are doing easier. I found bi-focal safety glasses at Home Depot a couple days ago, Very handy.

they keep dirt out of eyes when looking up at stuff under the coach. The bi-focal portion is 1.5 which is plenty for doing misc fixit stuff. They have up to +3.

I also keep knee pads with me. I recently added a head light flash light. Both come in handy.

Originally I had too much stuff with me, I am a hoarder, admittedly, and if there is space I'll fill it. Early on I was doing a lot of mods, adding solar, etc. so I had tools galore with me. I've thinned a lot out, let me do a mental scan of what I have as I'm not at my coach and list below, some listed above I'm sure:

• Zip ties of varying length including ones that have the screw eyelit to help secure plugs, wires, etc. to a wall
• A good digital voltmeter, I also have the clampmeter variety
• Caulks and caulk gun (silicone, sikaflex 221, sikaflex adhesive, dicor self leveling)
• Electrical connectors of all types (spades, butt connectors, various variety kits)
• A good crimp tool and wire stripper tool
• An organizer for various screws, hose clamps, etc. you'll collect or remove and reuse
• Various screw collections (self tapping, sheet metal, wood/cabinet, etc.)
• Typical tools of screwdrivers, hammer, rubber mallet, pliers of various types including clamping ones
• Voltage detector pen (12V/120V)
• Hatchet
• Backpacker shovel
• Plumbing accessories such as hose gaskets, quick disconnect fittings, etc.
• Electrical tape and also rescue tape
• First aid kit!
• Wire cutters and possibly a larger cutter for small screws, etc.
• Loctite
• Dielectric grease
• food grade o-ring lubricant
• WD-40, T9 spray, etc.
• I have two toolboxes that stow nicely on a shelf in the upper area of a basement I installed
• Various Dewalt tools: driver for screws, small impact wrench, drill

All of these are good suggestions. But the real answer is; "the one you need and it is the one you don't have in your toolbox". Now wonder how I know that?

Problem is if you carry all the stuff you might need you will have to buy another trailer to carry it.
