Since the Chassis Parts Kit sits unused for long periods, every year when service is performed I use the parts from the Kit and replenish the Kit with fresh New parts.
There are a few few parts that go unused until some Dark and Stormy night in the middle of nowhere, is the engine belts.
The last thing you need are dry rotted belts.
So to help alleviate the oxidative stress on these belts , vacuum seal them. May not be perfect but anything will help.

I vacuum sealed my spare belts 8 years ago. Forgot to use them three years ago when I replaced my belts. So I still have my spares and will use them in 2 years when I replace the belts again. I also saved (and vacuum sealed) the belts I took off. They are my backups to my spares. I figured as long as I have the room, no harm in saving them.
