Tire Pressure Gauge and Tire Inflator with Gauge

It's time for an upgrade to a few things related to tire pressure. First I use a VIAIR 450P-RV Portable Air Compressor for my coach. Having used a better inflator with gauge at home on a bigger compressor I decided to get a better inflator with gauge to work with the VIAIR unit as I'm not thrilled with the one they include. Here is what I just got:

I have the Jaco and a digital one like the one you show on the bottom. They never agreee exactly, so I end up feeling ok if the TPMS say 100-103 on all tires. The handhelds say 100.

They all have their tolerances and once you realize a few PSI either way is irrelevant you’ll stop chasing it.

I have the TST TPMS and have started using the display as the pressure gauge as I move around the coach airing it up. Figured that I might as well use it since I rely on it to tell me what is going on.

I have had a TST TPMS for years. When adjusting the air in my tires I use a large pancake compressor with a analog tire pressure gauge. I double check with a digital psi gauge. If I am doing it on the perfect cloudy morning I can usually get all my tires within a pound of where I want them on the TST screen.

Looking at your digital gauge Neal I'm thinking I may have to update. Mine is about 5 years old.

The downside of digital gauges is the battery. The battery will fail at the most inopportune moment, like when you want to use it! Keep a spare battery (batteries) on hand and if it requires tools to replace it, have them handy too.

Fortunately, my digital tire gauge and my TST 507 tpms are within one pound of each other, on all 10 tires. I am quite comfortable that they are that accurate!
