What does toads actually stand for? For 30yrs. I've been referring to a towing vehicle (a vehicle that tows a trailer) as a TV.

I'm confused

A "toad" or "towed" is the term most motorhome folks use for the vehicle they tow behind their coach.

I always assumed it was a synonym for a "towed" vehicle... Toad. Part of the unique RV community lexicon..

Ahhh, I see!
I always heard them referred to a 'Dinghy's' mainly b/c they were towed behind a 'Land Yacht' :D
