I must admit that I am not even sure if it’s plastic or porcelain. What do you recommend to clean the toilet bowel? I don’t want to use bleach etc. This would be for periodic cleaning to keep it bright white. Not talking about just after use.

the question in my mind is what is the coloring sticking to?
If you hard water build up that is holding the discoloration there are a variety of cleaning agents.
Due to having holding tanks with seals involved, I do not like using most of the very harsh chemicals.
We have ceramic, so I will use an abrasive cleaner in a paste thickness. This allows me to agitate off the hard water marks and then wipe away almost all of the cleaning agent - keeping the cleaning ageny from going down the drain and possibly degrading the seals.
And yes, I am using nitrile gloves while doing this periodic/deep cleaning.

Thanks for the help. There are no stains, per se, just not bright after a couple of years full time. Will try the Dawn and report back.
