I just bought a 2024 Chevy Equinox to tow behind my Class A motor Home. The Chevy 2024 manual says it can be towed. The 2025 manual says the 2025 cannot be towed. (Something to do with the transmission) My RV service people cannot make it work. The computer system for the Chevy is going haywire and has caused the lights in the dashboard to not work properly. Has anybody witnessed this same problem and if so, what did you do? I'm thinking I need to try to return the Chevy. Thanks. Gary Gustafson [email protected]

What do you mean going haywire? When does this happen? Can you give us a sequence on how you setup for flat tow?

In my 2024 Chevy Colorado, power must be removed due to the electric power assist brakes and to disengage the electric power steering.
If you wired the toad to the RV for brake/blinker lights the must be a diode in the connection to prevent backfeed into the cars systems.

What did your Chevy dealership say?

Gary,

Sorry, but you've left out a lot of information before we can help you.

1. What EXACTLY was wired into your Equinox?
2. Who installed it?
3. Why are you using a 2025 manual for a 2024; that's asking for conflicts. (plenty of examples, like Broncos)
4. Do you have battery KILL switch?
5. Do you have a lighting kit; if so, what kind, are there diodes, is it CAN-BUS plug-n-play?
5. Do you have braking system installed?
6. Do you have a 12v CONSTANT POWER lead wired from your coach to your TOAD BATTERY?
7. Is your Equinox AWD or FWD, and have you referenced that SPECIFICALLY in the manual?

Not trying to be curt, just needing some criteria so we can help you.
