You don’t want to use Max Tow Rate as that’s just an inflated number for advertising. Never trust a salesperson about what you can safely tow. There are many different things to consider and we need more information on said truck & trailer! What is your PAYLOAD? Each vehicle has their own number inside your door jamb. Also consider if it’s a 1/2 ton truck or 3/4 or one ton? How long is your wheel base and is it a short bed, long bed or standard bed? How much does the truck weigh?
Never go by the dry weight of a trailer as you will never pull it that way. Just adding LP gas & battery will inflate that number not to mention anything you stock in TT (clothes, pots/pans, hygiene, fresh water, etc.)
How/where will trailer be used? Short trips locally on small highways or longer trips on expressway? What elevation?
Need much more info to answer your question

1500 half ton 5.7 liter v8 ram..
1795 payload
Short bed crew cab
GVWR 7100
GAWR Front 3900
GAWR Rear 4100
Most trips will shorter less than 2 hours some but little intestate travel and no crazy high elevations...
