What type of electric trailer brake box is recommended? On an 2017 Entegra Insignia, I found the trailer brake wire harness behind the gauge cluster.

I recommend a Tekonsha P3, plugged right into the harness on my 2015 F53. There are many cheaper models up to the task.

Welcome aboard!!! I can recommend that you DO NOT GET A BRAKE BUDDY. We had an old one that worked wonderful until it didn't. We full time and had used it for years. Ordered a new one to replace the worn out one and what a piece of $hit they make now!! On top of that, I believe the company has now gone belly up!

All of the Tekonsha products are good. I have the older model. One light that changes color depending on the current going on to the brakes.
