Trailer hitch assembly on cougar 5th wheel

My cougar 23mls came with a rear hitch assembly. Anyone know How sturdy this
Unit is? I want to put a carrier on the back and possibly carry a generator. Generator weighs approx 100 lbs. Does this hitch assembly need reinforcement?

Is there anything in you books about the trailer? What is the hitch connected to?

If you really want an answer, rather than an opinion, have an engineer do the numbers. If the hitch came as a factory option they can tell you what those numbers say.

We have a Cougar 367MBI that has a rear 2" receiver hitch. It has a label that says capacity 300lbs.
It also says "not for towing".
