We have some wonderful fruit trees on the property. So about 10 years ago I bought a dehydrator and started making my own dried fruit. I use the dehydrator to make jerky too, both beef and chicken alike. Anyway, the other day I cut up some apples and bananas and put them in the dehydrator for about 48 hours.

Really good travel treats.
