Well last night we got hit hard. We were bracing for severe thunderstorms and possible tornado. I heard the roar and looked out the living room window and everything was blowing horizontally. It lasted about 5 minutes then stopped. I said to my wife oh my God I never seen wind like that before. I have flood lights around the shop that are on 24/7 and didn’t see any immediate damage.

Well when I got up the next morning and walked outside it was like a war zone. Two 80 ft pine trees were completely uprooted and took out about 10 trees when they fell. Two more big maples were also completely uprooted rooted. Another 4 or 5 trees about 24 in in diameter were snapped off and laying behind the shop only 15 ft from my motorhome. I got a ladder and checked the top of my MH, by the grace of god nothing hit it.

I will try and show pics. The base of the pines uprooted is over 10 ft tall.

We got it on Tuesday. 101 mph winds recorded at the airport which is about 5 miles from me and about 3.5" of rain in an hour.

Just got internet back a few minutes ago. Have most of the tree debris stacked for pick up and am about 1/3 way through rebuilding about 75' of fence. Not the worst I've had to deal with, but that's what I get for living here.

Yeah this was a nightmare. My neighbors jumped in and he has a machine with a dozer blade and power shovel, he saved me tons of work. Last count I have over 23 trees down. Two huge pines & mostly maples. I had two big maples uprooted farther in the woods, at least it will be used as firewood.

God I hope this isn't an omen. Every time I plan to visit Deer Springs on July 4th a disaster happens. But I am still going, come hell or high water..!!!!
