I was cleaning up my towing connections a couple weeks ago and made the mistake of cleaning my coiled electrical cable by tightly gripping it with a damp microfiber cloth and running the microfiber cloth down the length of the coiled cable, pulling it straight as I did so.

the result is that my cable is not as tightly coiled as it used to be and it bothers me. Considering just replacing it but it’s a perfectly good cable, I just want it to be coiled tighter as it was originally.

Anyone know how I can fix my mistake?

Now you've done it!!! :ROFLMAO:

Maybe give your kids $5 to grab both ends and re-twist it tight again??

Try dividing by 0. That might do something.

Sorry @MapNerd , I got nuthin’.

I think I am going to coil it by hand very tightly then let it sit in the sun and get real warm, then toss it into the storage area to cool down, still coiled and see if that sort of sets the rubber.

Otherwise I guess I will buy a new one

Amazon resolves many mistakes
