In my setup done by Solar Energy Systems they setup a Ruuvitag temp sensor to control ventilation fans for my battery bay. I'll likely rewire this to control the battery heating pads. Regardless, if you use a Victron GX device you can easily wire this up for your needs as well. Here is a good article on how.

I used this out of an old Fantastic Fan to control fans that cooled my inverter/battery compartment in two previous installation. As Spock would say, “Crude but effective”, and much more aligned with my skill set.

Edit:
Given this: “if I can't rewire this myself, I'm going to reverse that setup so the basement vent fans are on manual switch control and the heat pads are automated“, something like the above might even find a home in your modern high-end system.
