Well, if you've been to the Mothership for service or repair...you know they drape quilted covers over your seats to protect them. I had meant to buy a set from parts...but slipped my mind.
We have been throwing a fuzzy blanket over our seats for a long time. It helps with not nuking the pleather? and provides some UV protection. Well, finally decided to sew a couple of cheap blankets into seat protectors. Made them baggy to make it an easy ON/OFF...and it hangs down all the way to the floor. Our original seats upholstery, depending on how you look at it --- Lasted too long, or Lasted not long enough. Too long, because by the time we had peeling, Newmar told us tough luck. While others acting sooner got new furniture or new coverings. Not long enough, because we wound up having to get ours recovered. We went to Bauer and had both Captains chairs recovered a couple of years ago. These seats take the brunt of sunlight exposure...we use shades strategically, but figure a drape for the seats will help reduce UV damage and also add some protections when loading and unloading the coach... Or, occaisionally setting things on the copilot seat for temporary staging, etc. Here's what we've come up with. Similar to Newmars, but didn't have to worry about the Queen Size seats...since the Ventana doesn't come with those.
Now back to sewing.
