Ventana slideout

I have a Ventana 3407 and my main slide really slams down at the end of it's outward travel. Can this be corrected?

I own a 3412, and it does the same thing. Newmar says that the shorter Ventanas have a steeper drop on the kitchen slide than their other coaches.
