I thought I would like the safe in my London Aire, but I've changed my mind.Looking at the wall safe option in a Dutch Star, but chose not to get it.
how many folks purchased this option? Could be useful, especially if fire proof.
I would agree! But, I sleep with the door open. How does that sit with most people?I would think a small portable fireproof safe stashed under the bed or even inside the dinette storage area would be sufficient for most people.

Well I guess so! With all that ozone floating around, you better have a door open. . .I would agree! But, I sleep with the door open. How does that sit with most people?
So like I said, how would that go over? I started first camping in a tent! Sometimes sleeping under the stars. To this day I find man the most dangerous of animals! Forget the grizzly he's timid in comparison! Point is I get a lot of "O"s with my Ozone, and they say you think better with enough oxygen in the brain, so I'll keep it up!!!Well I guess so! With all that ozone floating around, you better have a door open. . .
In the thread on snake awareness, I was asked for a picture of my boots. Well you may have seen more than I planned to display. But because I did this gives me opportunity to tell you why I have a safe. I have one for my rounds. There are items that hold value, and others that may hold a life in the balance.ours came with the safe, its small and does not look fire proof, we do not use it, we have a portable safe as others have mentioned.
I have a fire safe for that reason. They recommend a location where it can't drop very far. Seems integrity is lost in a fire so it is important it won't drop very far. Basement sounds like it may fulfill that requirement. My thought is a "portable" safe in the basement somewhere. My purpose is to safe guard important documents from the risk of loss from fire/water.
Most safes that might be considered for this purpose are only a slight deterrent to a skilled thief. The casual thief usually does more damage than any value locked in the safe, at least in my world.
