I remember watching the A-10 making their runs down the Anti-Tank range in grafenwoehr Germany back in the 70's. What an awesome weapon.
 
If only the Ukrainians had some of the originals a few weeks ago. (And some pilots with brass ones.) It was one of the first things I thought of when I saw those Russian convoys.
I heard that they were going to retire the A10's and thought that sounded like a damn fool idea. I didn't know they were replacing them with upgraded versions. I'm OK with that then.
