Record snowfall is going to turn into record flooding. For those traveling in areas that look harmless, be cognizant of rivers near your campgrounds, etc. as the flood levels are about to make some news. I've seen videos from a friend in Spanish Fork, UT that has a house on a harmless river and they are in full panic and triage mode for what's to come.

Typically, those that camp or live in valleys, river washes need to use common sense!

Wonderful warning! Thanks @Neal For making a point of this issue.

Our planned travels to California a month ago were changed due to parks, such as Yosemite, being closed due to the snow melt and flooding. And a planned stop to boondock west of Flagstaff had to change because they hadn’t opened FS roads yet due to the snow melt and wet conditions.
Now we are in Oregon and over the past month water levels in rivers appear to be dropping, but just a few weeks ago waterways were running very high.
Driving down state roads and county roads - seeing signs of roads being repaired due to wash outs. Drove on one road that provided a pucker factor for a stretch of 75 feet when there were crevices opening up in the road that were 3”+ wide and a good couple feet of the side of the road was gone.
