So I have a Dometic water tank heater and it has a plastic drain plug. Would it be best to replace this with an anode plug?

Thank you

Nope. If the heater didn't come with one, it's not designed to have one. I removed the plastic and replaced it with a brass 1/4 turn gas valve. A gas valve because it's compact, and I could cut the end to the same angle as the cover. And it also gives me an end that I can slip a hose onto, so I can drain the tank without it running down the side of the coach.

No, I have read that that might even be harmful to your water heater
