Good morning all-I've been given so many 'answers" by friends here, thought i'd ask those who probably know and could be in the area now. What time does the West Yellowstone entrance open? I've heard 24/7, 8am, blah blah blah. Couple old timers who went years ago said "go early as possible, you see more nature". SO if anyone has the info i'd sure appreciate it. We head out of Texas on the 15th and will be arriving West Yellowstone on the 19th. Can't wait

West Yellowstone entrance is open 24hrs from April 16-Nov 8th this year. No cash payments so if you need a pass purchase online.

OH thank you so much. We(well me anyways) are very early risers and plan to see as much from the early morning sun until the sun goes down, each day, or i poop out.....which doesn't take as long as it did 30 years ago! THANK YOU

Lamar Valley is known for wildlife viewing, there has been lots of wolf activity this year. Enjoy
