What are your biggest pet peeves at the campground?

I have no idea why check in is 1 pm or later. Checkout should be 10 am and check in 11 am. You paid for the night, not the next day. You should at least get access from 12pm through the night.
Personally I break down the site the night before. Stow all and unhook all but electric.
As a side note, I see folks get to a site at 4 pm. Set up carpets, chairs, fake plants and leave by 9 am without sitting outside for five minutes. I know its none of my business but why? LOL

I'm with you Boss. If we are at a campsite site for one or two nights I don't hook up to water or sewer. We carry a water softener so water isn't hooked up unless it is time to refill. Hook up electric, throw the sides out, level, pull the chairs out, and enjoy. I will hookup the sewer line and dump last thing before we leave if needed. RV parks think they are motel rooms for some reason with a several hour turn time between campers. It is not like they change sheets, vacuum, and change out towels.

I like as late a check-out time as reasonable/possible. We do we much as we can the night before but it's still tough to get everything cleaned up with 3 young kids underfoot.

a friend got pulled over for speeding, he told the cop, I got a late start and trying to get to work on time. The cop replied, you should have left earlier, here is your ticket, have a nice day.
I get your post but its the same answer. If there was a reasonable check out time like 10 or 11 am, I just make sure I schedule my wake up so I can make that time restriction.
Things do happen and folks run late. I am sure an additional fee for checking out late would cure the issue either way.

Off topic but I was fortunate to love my work since I was 30. I learned in my 20s that there was no way I would be happy in another 10 years if I continued down that career path.

On topic, clear the wasps nests from inside the electric panel cover so I do not have to.

We are former camp hosts. For three seasons we looked after a Provincial Park in the mountains near a large city. I can tell you that Fridays and Sundays were nightmares. Sites were reserved by the city residents far in advance of summer time travelers thus those that booked week days were forced to vacate for the weekend warriors. Our check out time was 11:00 AM and check in was 4:00 PM. That should have given us 5 hours to clean up the mess left behind but we spent a lot of time trying the chase the stragglers out and telling the new commers to wait. Try to prep 115 sites (pick up garbage, litter (sunflower seed and cigarette butts are not fun), dig out fire pit ashes (some left their fires burning) make sure doggy doo was cleaned up as well as clean bathrooms and showers and I can assure you that 5 hours is not enough time.

I know that destination parks do not have as much weekend turnover but if you are going to operate a "clean" campground , it does take time to prep sites.

They also have quiet hours until 7 or 8 so it's not like I can be up at 5:30 tossing stuff into the truck.

Nice of you guys to do all that but I've never seen any of those things being done in the Parks Canada campgrounds (except for washrooms being cleaned every day, obviously, which has nothing to do with check-out and check-in times).
