We went, for the first time, to a concert last fall. I did but didn't like it, it was hot and hot and the camp area was a parking lot. With some people we enjoyed and some who smoked something we didn't enjoy only a few feet from us. It was interesting and I enjoyed talking to folks both in the camp area and the concert itself. And this year I understand there will be one of my fav bands playing there. I probably won't go, again to hot and not that great a camping thing but..... Still this band doesn't tour around here very much. Do any of you travel to music often. The lady sitting next to me last year was talking to me, her and her daughter go to at least one concert a year together and between bands. We found that the mom and I also travel for jam supplies... She was in the area for plums, and I was there for peaches. We even swapped recipes... We talked about where to find what and yea her jam recipe is very good.

Time to go get strawberries..... And then build some sandcastles

Come on down to Arizona next winter. Best place to find rocks and minerals as well as "real" Ghost town. There are lots of tourist attraction"" ghost towns as well. Just and FYI I am not an expert when it comes to rocks. I just pick up what catches my eye. I have to use the internet to identify them and lots of times I get them wrong. Some don't polish well but 99% do. Most I leave at RV parks we visit for others to enjoy. We full time and I don't want to pack around the extra hundred pounds of rock. There are plenty of ghost towns that you can visit without a 4X4. The one I have pictured is one that is not though. Anyway. Food for thought.

Safe travels

So there is a place in Lincoln City at the beach right next to the Moe's Restaurant right before you leave to go to Newport. Every morning early at sunrise and at sunset where you can go agate hunting where everyone else will be. The tide is going out so get a bucket or bag to put them in and make sure your back is away from the sun. So you can see them shine in the water or on the pebbles. Ask others what they have found so you know what you are looking for. It is so much fun, and they are beautiful. Also on that main street near the Moe's Restaurant there is aa glass making shop where YOU can make glass products. Very fun I have done that too.

I lived there for about a year. I love finding agates. I also loved riding my bike on the beach. Found some great glass bottles there too.
