1. The Wilderness Camper
  • Wants: isolation, nature, zero people
  • No hookups, no noise
  • Think: national forest, BLM land
“If I can see another RV, I’m too close.”

2. The Rustic Camper
  • Wants: nature with a few basics
  • State parks, no sewer, maybe electric

  • KOA-type parks
“Just make it easy.”

4. The Resort Camper
  • Wants: full hookups + amenities
  • Pools, pickleball, clubhouse
“Camping… but nicer than my house.”

  • Wants: calm, adult vibe, no chaos
  • Reads books, sips coffee in the morning, bourbon in the evening, listens to birds
“I came here to unwind, not supervise recess.”

6. The Family Camper
  • Wants: activities, kid-friendly environment
  • Noise is part of the package
“If the kids are exhausted, it was a good day.”

7. The Boondocker

  • Solar, tanks, off-grid mindset
“Hookups are for amateurs.”

8. The Big Rig Traveler
  • Wants: easy access, wide turns, long pads
  • Planning routes like a trucker
“If I can’t swing it, I’m not going.”

Camping is secondary to:
  • Fishing

“The RV is just base camp.”

12. The Remote Worker Camper
  • Wants: strong WiFi, quiet, comfort
“Zoom call at 9, hike at 5.”

13. The Pet-Centric Camper

“I don’t want to hear you breathe.”

Hmmm.....3,4,9,13,14.....is what I used to be! Since I no longer have the "RV", I guess none of the above!

BUT....I can tell you one thing....maybe two.....DEER SPRINGS is a special RV park for any and all!
JIM & TRISH are the finest hosts that we encountered in our over 8 years of RV travel!
Marilyn & I enjoyed the times We got to spend there, and looked forward to "Wine" & a "Margarita" , each evening, and the shared times and fun We had with Jim & Trish, while there!!
Miss seeing you guys!

In the spirit of the question I would say we are a #3, mostly b/c of my wife. I lean more towards #2.

1, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 9 would match our RVing profile. Occasionaly 1, 3, 7 and 15 are enjoyed using our rooftop tent on a Jeep JK or Cherokee Trailhawk.

I look forward to patronizing the first truly all-inclusive RV resort.

-All you can eat buffet.

-Lazy river winding its way through and around the resort.

-Swim up bar.

-Tiki bars placed throughout.

Maybe in my next life.

To be clear, I can't be pigeon holed! I only believe three types of camper exists.

The inconsiderate camper, the Karen camper, and those that deserve to be called campers.

But I the spirit of the question!

Parts of these apply. 1, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15.

People, "In the spirit of the question" only choose one. Sure, there are lots of pieces from many categories that fit, however, you're given 15 options, pick the ONE that fits best. :)

That's my take anyway.

cheers!

If I’m picking one, 3. Boat Bum and I are in the same boat. 😜

At different times I am about ten out of the fifteen choices depending, so can't pick a single one.

and that's ok...
