What kind of ladder do you use?

I have the telescoping ladder like Neal on top of my generator like Neal. I bought a convertible ladder like Swipular has that I bought at Harbor Freight that stays in the shop for now. I can be a four foot A frame, a seven foot A frame, or a fifteen foot straight ladder. In it's stowed position it is about five tall 5-6" thick, weighs about thirty pounds. It was about $130
do you have a picture of it stored on the generator?

I also use a strap on left and right sides to secure it so it can't come forward if slamming on brakes, etc.
 
I use a Little Giant Multi Position Ladder. In my case as a full timer it's good to have a step ladder function.
