Rookie full timer. If I’m gonna move every 14 - 21 days is there any reason to cover the rv wheels when sitting?

I would. Reason? The sun.

I agree with @AbdRahim, when I'm in the sun, I always cover them if staying 3 or more days, just the sun side

Thanks.

I'm not sure I'm on board with the above but it doesn't hurt to cover them. How long does it take before the sun damages a tire? I don't know, but you're also driving with them exposed a long time too. I think sitting and not moving is more harmful than sun damage. Personally, if I'm staying some place such as for a month I'll cover them, or if in storage without cover, etc.

Covering your rv tires is just a marketing ploy for tire cover manufacturers IMHO. Your tires are never covered during the thousands of hours when moving. Do you ever see truckers cover tires? Do you ever contemplate covering the tires on your truck or other vehicle? Your rv tires will “time out” before the sun will ever do significant damage. Again, just my 2 cents worth.

I agree with Neal on usage. I cover my tires with Gloss Tire Gel from McGee's 37. It's water based, fairly long lasting and has UV protectant in it. Plus IMHO it looks good when applied. Tires are 3.5yrs old and look great thusfar.

Trucks are always moving, therefore the lubricants, etc in the tire are circulating. RV’s often sit for month’s at a time. Big difference.

At one point my MH (prev) and SUV had the same tires, same manufacture month. In4 years, even withthe tires covered most of the time the MH tires were all cracked on the sidewalls. The SUV tires were removed at six years with no cracks. It was my daily driver.

Also, covers are cheap compared to tires. Keeping the wheels cleaner when parked is an added benefit.
