Some oldtimers will argue that it is Jacks then slides and that was the case up until the full wall hydraulic slide around 2016.
It is the same for the motorized full wall slide. Our Superstar is not hydraulic but the process is the same.

The DutchStar user manual has very clear instructions of how and when to extend/ retract slides.
Each coach will be different, read the MFG user manual that came with the Coach.

Finally obtained an explanation of why the slides are extended, as long as you are on relatively flat ground and slides are not binding, before leveling jacks are extended.
The coach configuration, weight distribution, should be in as close as possible to the final camping configuration before leveling jacks are set to level the coach.
This allows jacks to level the load correctly.
If you extend slides after the jacks are set, the weight distribution changes and possibly puts uneven loads on the jacks and potentially effects the leveling position making the coach uneven.
This makes perfect sense to me.
