We’ve landed in Durango, Co, right in the banks of the Animous River at JW Durango River Resort. Wow; if you have a big rig it’ll be interesting parking since we’re stacked in here like sardines but the people are lovely, full hookups and the cafe serves great hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza. We haven’t caught any fish but our dogs are loving the Haviland Lake and trekking down to the stream here in camp.

Alright, gotta update this post for anyone traveling thru Durango. Do not pay extra ($120+) for a riverside spot. We’re so locked in here to our neighbors that our picnic table literally sits beside their sewage hose and yes, it’s smelly. The non “deluxe” Riverside sites are cheaper and a bit larger. We’re going to have to wake our neighbors up in the morning so they can move their truck otherwise we won’t be able to leave. Corp owned and unless you know ahead of time, you’ll be lulled into thinking these delux riverside sites are worth the extra dough. 🤬 Durango Riverside RV Park

Faith Valley on the West fork of the Carson River, south of Hope Valley which is on Hwy 88 South of Tahoe. This is an excellent dispersed camping (boondocking) location with wide open spaces, peace and quiet, well dispersed and respectful neighbors, and no trouble makers or hassles. If you want a couple weeks of no hook ups, no cell phones, and just a pleasant stay in unspoiled nature, this is it. We are here for an outdoor wedding in a rented Class C and it’s a perfect location.

Creek fire in Richmond hill Ga. Nice enough place, busy and almost full. We took a drive through spot by the lake. Front desk did warn us about opportunist theft and to lock up when away and at night. Local police patrol regularly between midnight and 6 am.
Other than that place looks reasonably cared for and has all the amenities.

Survived first night without issue at Creekfire. Quiet and pleasant.

Just south of Winston-Salem, NC and headed to Gaffney, SC tomorrow for chassis service. Roads are open in this area (including Richmond to Winston-Salem).

Cracker Barrel a little south of Knoxville. Headed to Langston, AL.
