If you have an outside shower faucet, check to make sure both hot and cold valves are closed. Check also an inside shower head that the head is open and the faucet valves are closed.

Omg, you had the solution!!!! It was the hand held shower head being closed that caused the problem. Thank you so much

Probability. If you make enough guesses, sooner or later, one of them will fit!

Thank you and you’re welcome.

For others that might be searching, there is another possibility... the water heater bypass valve might be open, while the water heater inlet and outlet valves are also open.

Why would we all of a sudden have hot water in toilet bowl and now hot water coming out of cold fawcets?
because the water lines are in the heater ducts???
