When we return home from Rv trip, should we crack a couple of windows for air circulation or close everything up

How hot is it there. In the fall, I leave vents open. In the heat of summer, I close eveything, run two small dehumidifiers and one A/C set at 78 degrees.

I assume you mean your rv is shaded!
Because it would not be beaten with the sun, I would close the windows and vents.
My reasoning???
Closed up your rv will not be as subject to changes in temperature and humidity as it would be opened up.
Not to mention less work cleaning dust off everything before the next trip.

Ours is inside but we do keep it all closed up.
