I'm hoping to get out the end of January and head against my will to a southern location. I love snow, need snow, but I'll just go with the flow. Okay, I'm actually craving some palm trees and lake/ocean/bay views. My only concern is cost of campgrounds getting out of control down south. Not sure how south I'll get as I need to be back by April. Next summer I would really like to get to the PNW and swing down south to some BLM land.

Where are you planning to travel this winter?

Headed back to central FL. This will likely be our last trip to that location. Lord willing and I’m able, we’ll head west in ‘26.

We rarely have winter in Texas, so we do four —or five-day trips occasionally, but we always go to Big Bend for a week or so.

We're going to mosey on through Texas this winter - Texarkana, Waco, Austin, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Big Bend, Amarillo and points in between. Will also duck into New Mexico to see the caverns and might as well spend a few days in Roswell. Mix of COE/State Parks and private campgrounds.

After 60+ years of snow, I don't care for it any more.

We will head south late this winter so just heading to Arizona and maybe a little way into Mexico. I have eye surgery in November and December. Our normal departure date is October 15th well before REAL winter hits us in Canada. In order to not be stuck in snow and really cold, we have set up camp in Vancouver BC. It rarely snows here. Next winter Dauphin Island Alabama and New Orleans LA.

Stay warm and stay safe.

At The Tides RV Resort in Palmetto, FL.

Across the bay from St Pete and not far from Anna Marie Island.

They also have The Surf which is not far away but closer to a four lane than The Tides.

I did two winters at Palm Creek and really enjoyed it and if you haven't done Quartzsite it's a must in my opinion. I really want to get back out west to that area again. Sedona was amazing too on that trip.

Heading to Arizona, then Nevada. Lake Havasu, Sedona, Lost Dutchman, Valley of Fire. February and March. We’ve done this route before and love it.
