As...among other things...an English major, let me call your attention to a couple of key words in my earlier post. First, there's the indefinite "probably." Then, there's the more specific phrase "if you" which definitely assigns primary responsibility to the poster who made the original suggestion.

We just spent a week at Lake Catharine RV Resort in Hot Springs AR. Great place. I suggested to our Hoots committee that we have a Hoots Rally there.
