M hello, my Zerex freedom 458 inverter has died I believe. It won’t charge the batteries and it trips its breaker.
I like to order a new one, but I’m not sure which model is mine looks like there’s a couple different amperage models. I think I’m the freedom.458 30? And is it as simple as just removing and replacing the connections from where they were on the old unit to the new unit?

I would check all connections and your batteries to ensure they are all good. May have a bad connection or shorted wire somewhere

Does your 458 have 2 circuit breakers on the unit? If you need to replace, the updated 458 is still in production. If you're near Quartzsite, Discount Solar repairs and rebuilds them. Otherwise, you can contact Xantrex customer service FREEDOM 458 for advice. Replacement is plug n play. When I switched to LiFePO4 batteries, they were very helpful
