Due to overflowing of rivers all entrances to Yellowstone NP are closed through at least Wednesday. If you have plans to visit check website for road closures.

Been following it. Does not look good, especially the "North Loop"!
In 4-5 days, they MAY open the "South Loop" roads for restricted visitation (guess that means they count vehicles).
Will be at the West Entrance for 5 days in mid August! And drive the "South Loop" to the East gate, and head back East.
Will be an interesting experience! We have never been before & had planned this trip for a good while!
Hmm, life gives you "lemons", reckon you make "lemonade"!
Will enjoy it as much as we can!
But I really feel for the residents that have lost everything due to the flooding! Sad, truly Sad!

I've been watching videos of roads, bridges, houses washing away. Amazing! If only this water could go to Lake Powell/Meade...

The north entrance road from Gardiner, MT will be closed for a long time. Some areas of the road can't be simply repaved they will almost need to be rerouted. The way the government lets contracts it could be next spring before the rebuilding even will begin. They have 4 months at best before winter sets in this year.
