Hi. New to RVing. We are in a 25ft motor home traveling from Yosemite to Great Basin. Is is okay to go 120 east (Tioga Rd) then catch 6? It will be early June.

Thanks!!

I believe CA-120 is closed until July 2021.

Well that would make sense! My RV Trip Wizard wont allow save that route for me and I thought it was user error! Thanks so much. Such a simple explanation. So we will go around.

If highway CA 120 is open through Yosemite NP (Tioga Pass) your planned route is reasonably easy (for the driver at least), and by far the shortest route. The annual reopening of Tioga Pass is the trump card as it varies from year to year. The pass usually opens in mid May through mid June. This year has been a light snow year so I suspect it would open early but there could be a late storm or two that screws up that. You may want to contact the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) about an estimated opening date. When you get to Great Basin don't miss the Lehman Cave tour or one of the "astronomy night" programs.
