What is the draw about that place?

Living in AZ I see it as a place to top off the fuel before entering Cali... people flock to it like crazy. I don't get it.

When I lived in Phoenix and Tucson, I looked at it the same way! I get it!

So why Yuma?
Two stop stoplights.
Big enough you don't need to make trips to large cities for any supplies. Close enough that you can.
Close enough to the low cost camping that even us low fixed income people can stay there without dipping into the backup pot.

Close enough to Mexican medical that it's a half day trip.

RV supplies are covered, solar installation is available, but quartzite is the preferred place for that.

A day trip to quartzite rock and RV shows.

So for those of us that want less drama! The question is more. Why not Yuma.

Los Algodones is also a big attraction. I know folks that visit twice a year for medical issues. Personally, I like the Parker area.

Yuma offers pretty much everything anyone wants/needs for a Snowbird lifestyle, including low monthly RV park rent.
