Thread 'Advice to Upgrade House Batteries'
Hi Everyone. New to this forum. I bought a new KZ Durango Gold G382MBF fifth wheel last year, 2025 year model. It came with a solar package that has 2x 200watt solar panels, a 30A MPPT solar charge controller and a 2000 watt sine wave inverter. To be honest, I don't really know what any of that means, just sharing what the brochure said explaining the solar system that came with the trailer. My question is about upgrading the 2 batteries that came with it. I have run out of battery before...
I have. 20 year old Suburban furnace. The furnace ignites then shuts down after 10 seconds then ignites again for 10 seconds and shuts down. Is the problem the flame sensor or control board. Both were replaced 2 years for the same symptoms and worked fine until now
We have enjoyed using the Pepwave in our Ventana for ??? years now. We still use an AT&T (old connected car "Mobley" sim) for 4g on the road. And we redirect to our home wifi when at home. We added a STARLINK gen 3 a couple of summers ago for use when traveling. I am having a devil of a time making STARLINK play nice on our Pepwave Coach network. I have used WAN cabling, I have used redirect WIFI. We wind up crashing or getting 8MBPS when the STARLINK tests alone at over 130MBPS...

Thread 'RV Winterize blowout adapter'
It's been a while since we've posted our favorite RV things. As I'm winterizing this year instead of running heat I used this tool for the first time which I've had for years but never needed. Just like the irrigation lines at my house, I think it's important to blow out the lines to remove water and this tool makes it easy. The nice thing as well is your blowing out the water all the way from the source, the city water hose...

2024 Grand Design Momentum 22MAV. Furrion battery monitor shows 25.x% and not actively charging. Plugged into 120V, and has full sun all day on the solar. This system worked fine for the first 14 months we owned the rig (from new), and in the last two months I’ve replaced the battery twice (stock one went dry…my mistake) and have now replaced the converter three times. The first converter I think actually went bad, but now even the one I replaced yesterday has the fault light come on...
Hey all! We are tent campers and are planning a trip to Yellowstone and are looking to try out a trailer. From what I can find, the only way to do that is via Enterprise Truck Rental as no other businesses allow towing. Our thinking is we need a separate car and trailer to be able to get around the parks. I'd love some expert opinions. We are flying in so we have to rent. We are a family of 4 and while we don't need a lot of space we do need more than a camper van for sleeping.
I had my 2018 Newmar 3124 over at my house today packing to leave tomorrow. I just wanted to power the fridge and maybe a couple lights. I got a splitter from my stepfather that has one 30A 120v male end and a standard 15A 120v male end, they come together to a female 50A 120/240v receptacle. I plugged in an extension cord to 15A male and nothing to the 30A then plugged my coach 50A cord into the end of the splitter. I thought I would have 120v in part of the coach but nothing. I looked...
Thread 'BIM upgrade question when upgrading LiFePo4 batteries'
Hi folks, thanks for welcoming me to the group. We own a 2020 Crosstrek 20XG that we purchased used a year and half ago, with very low miles. As most of you know it was the first edition year of this model was released and it has a few peculiarities that don't appear on subsequent models. I've upgraded many of the components and I love the way this drives. I have a question related to my my battery upgrade however that I can't seem to get a clear answer on so any help would be...
Ok guys. I am having an issue with my 12v system. I am plugged into shore power, and my batteries won't charge. I have checked the converter, and it is working. Any ideas what the issue could be?
Thread 'Bits of something from black tank'
Hi all. I dumped my black tank and it was very slow in draining. After I dumped many buckets of water into the toilet, it worked better. After flushing the sewer pipe, all this gunk came out. Kind of looks like rusted pieces and very brittle. Calcium deposits? The black tanks are plastic correct? We go camping about every 6 weeks here in Florida. After dumping, I always put in about 3-4 gallons of non-potable water and about 4-6 ounces of the orange TST Max toilet treatment...
