According to multiple sources, StarLink is down worldwide, and it just so happens the day after turning on the T-Mobile option.
I'm traveling from Borden / Summerside KOA in PEI to Sea Swell Campground in Camden ME. What are you route suggestions?
Picking up my new to me 2018 Newmar Bay Star 3124 Saturday. Never owned a motorhome before and will be doing some short 2 or 3 day trips just to get familiar with everything until I can get some time off later in the year. My question is should I empty the black and gray tanks after short trips? If it matters there will probably be 2 or 3 weeks between trips.
Hey RV Forum. New member here. We were at Anastasia State Park in FL this past weekend, and our water heater decided to stop working on electric. I flipped the breakers and checked all the fuses. Didn't find anything wrong. However, it seemed to started working again. Maybe not as hot as usual. The next morning, it stopped working again. The propane side still works fine. Also, the electric heater switch on our control panel was illuminated, so it's apparently still getting power...
Exercised my coach today and couldn't access both of my Pepwave's through the Peplink Router app as it showed SSL certificates expired. I had firmware 8.5.1 installed. I googled it and the fix was simply to update the firmware, 8.5.2 is available, so I updated both and it solved the problem. Login to your admin, go to System at the top, Firmware on the left and check for updates.
Planning a 10 +/- day MH trip through WI to MN, SD, and likely as far as Gillette, WY in mid August. Other than the obvious Wall Drug & Mt. Rushmore, looking for recommendations as to where & what to see & do, and campground suggestions. (Prefer KOA's as they are dog friendly &, as a subscriber, I get 10% off.) Keep in mind, however, we have a toad to sightsee and we also travel with our fur baby so excursions need to be dog friendly or of fairly short duration. Looking forward to...
Thread 'Pammel Park and Winnebago Service Center, Forest City, IA'
It’s been real interesting seeing, experiencing, and comparing the WGO service center to Newmar’s. I drove the 1170 miles here to get what I’m sure most would consider a very minor issue taken care of because: 1) My selling dealership failed on three separate occasions to do it correctly. 2) I love driving. I could never do it for a living, but I enjoy being on the road as I’m sure most of us do. The very first thing I noticed was there were very few designated camping spots at the...

First time at this Harvest Host location. It’s a little bougie to this beer and bourbon boy (went back to change out of tshirt into something more in keeping), but nice is nice. Staff are friendly and the wine is okay if you’re into that sort of thing. 🍻 :p
It is my understanding that the Battery Isolator will Bridge the House and Chassis batteries "as needed". It appears that with the EMS, Energy Management System, activated the Bridged indicator remains ON? Is this normal with a BIM? Additionally when traveling with front House AC cooling, the House battery depletes rather rapidly. A 3hr travel leg will use over 50% of the three large Li Ion House Battery charge? Why doesn't the alternator pickup this draw?

This has become my favorite Harvest Host stop. I think this is my 5th stop here. On my way to Forrest City, IA. Unfortunately, no music tonight. They only do that on Sat and Sun now. Have I mentioned I love the Midwest?
Anyone here try the A/C Connect from KoolRV? A technician once told me that I should not blow the air through the vents due to the ducts not being very well insulated. The air in the vents tend to be much warmer. But this A/C Connect diverts all of the cold air from the A/C to those vents. Is that enough to blow out the warm are trapped in the ducts? Does this product really work to cool down, and keep the RV cool?
Thread 'Guernsey, Wyoming - Emigrant Trail Ruts, Register Cliff, CCC structures at nearby state park'
since I was a child always wanted to see some (obvious) pioneer trail ruts. On a family vacation trip in the 60s, somewhere in the western states, we once passed a sign that said "Wagon Ruts" and I really wanted to see them. But it turned out they were quite far out of our way, so we didn't go. but I remembered. so when I was planning this trip, I wanted to go to Guernsey because I had read they had extremely distinct trail ruts, so I worked it into our itinerary. 1. it's a long ways...
Thread 'Big Sky........'
Just got back from Montana on Flathead Lake. We had a great spot to watch the fireworks that went on for 3 days. Met our kids, grandkids who drove up from SoCal. Spent a day in Glacier, needs more than a day. GREAT TIME and all arrived back home safe and sound!
Thread 'UNBELIEVABLE - please tell us we're right'
We are currently staying at Larson Trail Ruts Golf Course and RV campground in Guernsey, Wyoming, a lovely little town of about 1000, with a golf course??!!! - we encountered a unique situation with the electricity. The OregonTrail Ruts and historic areas that we came to see are miles from nowhere, so there's not a lot of choices of places to stay. This place was our best choice and it advertised having 50 amp which is very important in mid July. They did not even mention at the website...
I have a 2012 Lance 1575, single axle trailer, where the water pump (ShureFlo) runs continuously and I reduced water flow from my shower and faucets. I borrowed a friends know good water pump and when I installed it the problem remained. I also replaced my on demand water heater with a 4 gallon tank heater and just to be sure I bypassed the water heater and the problem persisted. The strange thing is that when I run the pump I can hear water circulating in the fresh water tank below my...
Thread 'New to us 2018 Newmar New Aire 3343'
Sold our previous RV, a Georgie Boy Swinger, around 2005. Decided to get another on. This one is quite an upgrade. Has so much stuff, hope not too much on it. I have a lot to learn. This look like a good forum, I will probably be asking many questions.
It happens to be located just the right spot ... for our first nighton our usual outbound route so we have stayed there several times. It has a Walmart and all kinds of places within a mile or two. We stayed there again last night as we begin our summer journey. I think it's the best RV restroom/shower/laundromat I've ever seen . 3 private bathrooms with showers right off a beautiful laundry room. They provide paper towels in a pan spray dispenser. They have a handheld shower. I can't...
Considering swapping fog lights to a yellow 70mm Morimoto LED fixture. Main headlights are now LED and would like all front facing road lights to be LED. The yellow type might help reduce moisture droplet glare some. The main head lights generate enough glare at night with fog. https://www.morimotohid.com/morimoto-70mm-universal-xb-led-fog-lights?quantity=1
