Hi I'm Ray I just bought my first home on wheels for a $100!! The electrical wiring was a little bit more of a problem. Would anyone have the manual to an 85 El Dorado motorhome or have the time to help me out. Thanks.

OK. Had the coach out last weekend for a ballgame. We tried to fire up the oasis for some heat. It sputtered a couple of times and then quit even sputtering. We got to plug in eventually and the AC side kept us from freezing Saturday night. Got home and tinkered with it. Opened it up and cleaned the nozzle, stem, and filter. No joy. Got it moved to the shop on Monday and really dug into it. Checked the solenoid valve. It was functioning. Checked the ignitor, it was good. Checked the flame...
Thread 'New 5th wheel!'
We traded in our travel trailer yesterday and picked up our new 5th wheel. It’s a 2026 SportTrek 353VIK. So much more room and lots of storage space! We’ve been looking at this model for a while.
We are leaving in the morning from Kissimmee KOA and I received this message today asking to extend our stay. Camping for years I don’t think I have ever had an offer to stay longer at a reduced rate. Don't want the fun to end? Extend your stay and save 30% off additional nights. Check with the front desk for availability. A friendly reminder that check out time is 11:00am tomorrow. I guess they are not 100% booked. It was not full during our stay. I guess as others have said...
Thread 'Finally got it!!!'
We picked up our first RV today! It’s been a few weeks in the making but we picked it up today! It’s a new to us 2007 Fleetwood Discovery 39v Diesel Pusher. 330 hp caterpillar C7, 6 speed Allison transmission. 66k miles on it. I can’t believe it’s in my front yard! Got him plugged in to shore power and ready to start tinkering in tomorrow morning as soon as I get up! 🤣. I’ll get some better pics but here are a few from the dealership. We’re just a little excited!
Looking for recommendation for an RV park. Wishing visiting distance to Gettysburg.
Has anyone had any positive, or negative, dealings with Harvest Host? Link to: Harvest Host We looked into it, and it seems very positive, but is there a catch? Is there a down side?
What have folks done to extend battery life when off road for three days to keep food cold in the fridge.
No time for toys. Go big or go home!

I am looking for a 7 way flat pin tester for the trailer cord. I have one that tests the tow vehicle's receptacle. I need one to test the female connector off the trailer.

Planning a new electrical system for a Peak Mtn Camp trailer w 18' of interior living space so weight is not a primary limiting factor. I'd like to know what your thoughts on choosing btwn lead acid(6v) and Li. We almost never have 100v available at a camp site. I think 400 Ah useable would be adequate to get the job done w some spare capacity, but perhaps 500Ah useable would insure no issues. I'll have a 3000w inverter, lots of solar and a DC-DC charger as part of the system. My...
I have the water pump taken from the Dutchstar. I think I repaired it but would like to test it. What is best way to do that?
Thread 'Kerosene in Chinese Diesel Heater?'
Good Morning.. Yes, the time has come for me to fill the tank on my Diesel Heater and test it. This will be my first fill. I installed a stainless tank on the outside of my trailer (photo below). Living in Southern California I don't have to worry about the extreme cold or the diesel jelling or waxing.. but what if we traveled through a colder climate, having the exposed tank, would kerosene be a better option? This also leads to another question.. Does the Heater fuel pump (internal...

We are at Causeway Cove Marina and RV Park. A small RV park. 10 sites only. Concrete pad incredibly long. P W S and Cable. Here for a week then off to the Keys!
Hi folks, In my research about travel trailers (thinking about getting one for the first time), I came across some information that suggests tankless water heaters don't work (well) in elevation over 4500ft. I live in Texas and my main destination if/when I get a trailer is Colorado, where elevation is often 5k-10k ft. It seems that most manufacturers are making TT with tankless water heaters for the past 5 years (Grand Design, Alliance). What are the options then? Are there still...
