We like to state in state parks. Some initial searching didn't yield very good results for parks with hook ups. Wondering if anyone can recommend something?

Has anyone spent 1-2 months in St. Petersburg, FL? As I figure out where I want to live when I grow up this is an area I'd like to explore and try out. I'm curious if there are any decent places to stay in the RV for a month or two to get a feel for the community? Any suggestions?

I sold my Newmar last year (I did tear up a little when the wonderful people pulled up to drive it away) and purchased a new 2026 Grech Strada ION AWD Class B Van. Coming from a quality Class A required going to a quality Class B. Research led me to Grech. I'll now be more spontaneous and doing tons on Boondocking. Downsizing this much has been an interesting challenge and while it works for me, it's not for everyone.

Most campgrounds never got Wi-Fi right, some do high speed which is nice, some still think 5 MB/s is sufficient. The campground I'm at now offers great Internet, the problem is I'm at a site that's in an area they didn't do so well with Wi-Fi coverage. I can look left and see antennas, look right and see, and I can typically connect just fine. But it's not ideal. We live in Florida and experience many electrical storms. I have never had any lightning strikes hit me, my house, any of my vehicles, or any other buildings that I own or use (that I know of). During a recent storm in which we had several very close strikes, I wondered if an additional ground rod attached to the RV barn and to the RV chassis would be a good idea. It could be a simple quick connect to the RV. Anyone else consider this?

I just replaced my lead acid batteries with new power queen lithium batteries. (the converter is supposed to recognize the switch over) Will plugging the shore power into my home 120v power charge the new batteries?

I picked this location to be near where my assigned service tech is for a driver's side window replacement. Otherwise I would have never known of or probably thought of coming here. Lake Lurleen State Park inn Coker, Alabama is the prettiest and nicest campground we have ever visited. It was recently remodeled/refurbished and it is fantastic! The waterfront sites are beautiful and spacious (some of the others are a bit tight) and easily take a 40ft RV. I’m pretty sure that all sites have full hook-ups, the bathrooms are clean, air conditioned, and roomy. I store my 2018 Baystar in an rv garage at my mother's house, the other day she told me that there was a weird smell in the garage, today I dropped by and opened the door to the house battery tray and you could hear a hissing. Pulled the tray out and of the four Interstate group 24 lead acid battery's the second one was very hot and you could see moisture on the top of it. I unplugged the Inteli-power battery charger.
