About 18 months ago we had a swarm of theses on the outside of our RV one cool sunny day. Then last summer (different part of the country) they stated showing up inside. Got so bad we would kill several crawling across the ceiling and windows. As many as 5 and more at a time and several times a day and night.

We actually bug bombed the inside one day. Cleaned up the dead and no more for about a year until now. We are starting to find a couple at a time inside crawling around now. Any recommendations to get rid of them completely???

That's one ugly bug!

I believe that is an Asian Lady Beetle. Hard to see. If it is, they were brought in by the Department of Agriculture to control aphids and scale insects. There are traps you can buy at places like Home Depot, but you need to keep them away from you home as it has a attractant to bring them in.

Camphor usually will keep them away.

We have a ton of them at certain times of the year.

They are also known as Stink bugs. Do not smash them. I use piece of packing tape to pick and wrap them in it. Then dump them.
In the fall they start looking for a warm place, and for some reason like RV’s?

We have been getting them as well - couple a day.

Tried a couple of the ultrasonic bug things in living area and bedroom - didn’t seem to help.

Sprayed the bottom of the slide openings with home defense about a week ago and haven’t seen any inside since.

These plagued our RV for several years after getting an infestation in KY one year. After a while they will slowly decline in number, it takes a while. Stink Bugs

They have stowed away in your walls. You are taking them with you. Took me three years to get of them in my house in TN. All winter long, every time it warmed up, I had the lousy things in my laundry room. I would vacuum them up, bag them up in a plastic bag and toss them in the garbage. After three years, I didn't have any more. But every year there were fewer.

I remember when I had my place in NC. Come fall I was closing up the casita, I picked up the outdoor tv cover and there had to be 100 of them attached to the bottom of it. Disgusting bugs, when I found one in the rv, down the macerating toilet with it.

That is an Asian Lady Beetle. They live in the walls and other hiding places and come out on warm days. The stink bug is a different critter. Brown in color, armor on its back, and about 1/2" long known as the brown marmorated stink bug. Yes, they stink when mashed. I just had one crawl across my desk when writing this. There are a couple of beetles on the ceiling above the light. Just some things in nature that try to exist with us.

To get rid of stink bugs (brown marmorated stink bugs) fill a foil roasting pan with water and dish soap and put a light over it in a dark room.

To get rid of the ladybug or Beetle, place food-grade diatomaceous earth in areas where they aggregate such as window sills and doorways. Remove dead bodies as soon as possible.

I got a Beatle problem too! I can't keep them out of my RV.

Just remember, those critters were here before we were and will likely be here after we are gone. A vacuum is good to clean them up and dispose of them. I prefer that over using any insecticide. Don't mash them, they stink.
