We have been shocked by these rates. In the first years of our marriage, I was a teacher. It is hard , important work, and requires a college degree. Teachers are paid so poorly, why would anyone want to do it anymore? The whole picture is ridiculous, and part of the reason for our educational decline. I'm unfamiliar with book times for RV bodywork, parts repair, or replacement. A perfect example is that on my previous coach, the inverter was easily accessible, so it would have been much easier to replace than on my current Newmar, where the inverter is up between the frame rails, and it's the devil to see much less work on.Flat Rate also means they charge what the "book" says it should take for time. If the "book" says 1 hour and they fix it in 30 minutes, you pay 1 hour.
Supposed to work both ways but good luck with that.

I’m a fan of those guys. I used them all the time when I owned my Kountry Star. Fair and competetent.Last year, RV Services of VA, the labor rate was $159/hr in 1/2 increments.
