In our experience - hourly rates are important but just one variable to be considered. Equally important is the level of knowledge and expertise.
We learned this the hard way (read expensive) when early in our RV journey that having service work done at a large dealer took so many more hours than the factory.
Even though travel to the factory cost us roughly $1400 last time just for traveling costs + the hourly work being done, we gladly pay that extra as the service shop is staffed by people who built OUR coach 10 years ago. They know the coach and have stories to share about how they had to work to find the right way to make the modifications the original owner wanted.
Back to the OP - I will not pay CW current rates as I won’t go there for service, ever. I our few years of RV experience, I don’t see CW having great service reputation.
