Thanks guy. I picked a pair of reinforced diamond chains. With tensioner. Should work just fine.Cables will do less damage if they fail or wear out and come off. Also easier to store and probably good enough for the amount of snow one would be willing to drive a motorhome in. If there was enough snow to require the extra traction provided by using chains, you’d probably want to avoid it anyway. As a trucker you probably had to chain up in conditions where cables would have handled it just fine in a small motorhome. Also the newer diamond chains are a nice choice for highway use - very good traction, easy to install, and a nicer ride.
